WHO ARE WE ?
We are an international board of cancer and laser specialists dealing with the side effects of cancer therapy (oncologists, oral medicine specialists, dentists, physiotherapist, pain specialist and clinical research scientist). This group met first in Barcelona, November 2012 as its inaugural meeting.
Our Goal is to provide cancer specialists and patient care providers with well defined laser and light protocols for all acute and late side effects of cancer therapy. To define adequate laser parameters for each indication is a pre-requisite for any use of this technique.
LLLT as part of supportive care assists the optimisation of cancer therapy, to help the patient endure cancer therapy, to improve survival, and finally to maintain the patient in the best possible health during and after treatment for best possible quality of life.
